en un blog japones el presidete de pride SAKAKIBARA Nobuyuki dio una entrevista en la que hablo del oponente de crocop para shockwave dijo que era una cara famosa pero que toda via estan en negosasiones

pero lo que mas me sorprendio fue que dijo qua ya no harian mas bushidos
que este año era el ultimo que para el 2007 se unirian pride regular y bushido para tener cuatro weight classes desde heavy weight hasta light weight

pero eso significaria un cartel larguisimo, o simplemente que todas las peleas sean de MUY buena calidad... mmm la verdad no creo que les convenga.

MMM que notica nos estas dando con eso de que se acaba el bushido, yo tengo una teoria, la cobertura y la televisacion que le dan alos eventos regulares de pride y alos bushidos, son completamente distintos, se le da una mayor jerarquia a los eventos regulares de pride, tal ves eso lo notaron y por eso es la union de los dos eventos, respecto a lo que dice Sangji, no creo que evamos grandes carteles, si no que dejaremos de ver algunas peleas intrasendentales, las misma que han hecho que bushido caiga en popularidad y que los hacen tan largos.

al parecer la primera entrevista fue mal traducida ya que no piensan desaserse de bushido ese nombre solo lo usaran cuando hagan eventos fuera de japon o US por que piensan hacer una jira por el mundo aqui esta la entrevista

DSE/PRIDE president Nobuyuki Sakakibara was recently interviewed by Japanese magazine Gong Kakutougi. Here's what Sakakibara had to say (translation by Akira S.):

Interviewer: Is there any special news for the show on December 31st?

Sakakibara: A special new face will come to PRIDE Shockwave. It will give ordinary people a big impact.

Interviewer: Is this decided?

Sakakibara: We are in final negotiations right now. How will be the opponent of Mirko Cro Cop.

Interviewer: What about plans for the future?

Sakakibara: I will reform PRIDE very much in the coming year. PRIDE Bushido was like a "toy box" for us. We had thought about various plans, and then it was born... And we made the lightweight and welterweight divisions. Fresh new talent and energy came from it, so PRIDE Bushido became a special event for the lightweight and welterweight divisions. But this separate system does not make sense now, so Bushido and the regular PRIDE show will be united in 2007. The regular PRIDE shows will now include heavyweight fighters like Fujita, and lightweight fighters such as Takanori Gomi.

Interviewer: So is PRIDE Bushido finished completely?

Sakakibara: "Bushido" will become the brand name for our regular PRIDE shows that take place in foreign countries. (USA is ordinary PRIDE number series) For example, if we do a PRIDE Bushido in China, then you may see Sanda fighters participate. If we do a PRIDE Bushido in Thailand, you may see Muay Thai fighters participate. And in our world tour, we hope to have Mike Tyson participate.

Interviewer: What about the PRIDE GP series?

Sakakibara: We plan to stage the PRIDE GP every four years, for each weight class, like the Olympics. In 2007 only one weightclass GP will be held. All other "number series" in the regular PRIDE shows will include a title fight. Basically, in every regular event a title fight will take place.

Interviewer: PRIDE will celebrate its 10th year anniversary next year. You have made one decade!!

Sakakibara: Yes, this anniversary show will be in 2007 in the February event in the USA. Vanderlei Silva will do a title fight on the card, and fights in four weight classes will be featured.

Interviewer: If every event has a title fight, will you need to make new weight classes?

Sakakibara: MMA in the USA has a super heavyweight class, and it is also possible to make a featherweight class. But it is not necessary at this time. We will discuss these options step-by-step.

ya decia yo... no pueden eliminar bushido, no les conviene quitar un cartel de peleadores buenos con un peso especifico, no se darian avasto, tendrian demaciados peleadores.
